We hope you will find what you are looking for within the web site and also hope you enjoy the experience. The Society is responsible for researching, recording, disseminating and publishing the history of Lyminge Parish and the surrounding area on behalf of the parishioners and local residents.
To assist us in our aims and purpose we provide regular historical talks and we also arrange trips for Society members and their partners to places of historical interest.
We welcome visitors and publicise our activities locally in the Lyminge Newsletter as well as using posters and the facilities offered by our sister organisations in the Elham Valley and Folkestone.
A copy of our events programme and how to attend can be found under the Programme menu. The poster for the next even is displayed below.
An index to our archive can be found here, please see our guidance on searching the index.

There is a collection of our previous advertising events’ posters used here. These will give you an insight about the sort of topic we present at our talks and places we visit.
CHANGE OF TALK
Rosemary Selman is unable to appear so Rod LeGear - whose September talk was cancelled, has stepped into the breach.
We hope to present Rosemary’s talk on the ‘South Foreland Lighthouse and the Knox Family’ at a future date
